Sure did.. The big news that I'll be talking about soon is my conversation with Blaine Manifold, CEO / President of Hatsan USA.
If you head over to PyramydAir's site and check the listings under Hatsan you'll find that they will be carrying the majority of Hatsan's lineup. These are impressive guns and at a price point that competes with the big box store pricing but with European class quality and accuracy. Here are some bullet points from my conversion and their press kit:
- Family owned and operated
- 100% Vertically Integrated Manufacturer - Raw materials in / guns out. They control the entire process.
- German Steel utilized in all components
- Velocities are rated using a heavier precision lead pellet not lightweight / inaccurate alloy aluminum ammunition. For example, the .177 guns are tested with 8+ grn H&N pellets
What most impressed during my meeting with Mr. Manifold was his commitment to the "no BS" marketing of his products. Despite the pull of the industry to post ridiculously high FPS numbers, He has insisted that the marketing terms reflect "real world" performance. This is a refreshing change in my opinion. Now it will be up to us to help educate airgunners that faster does not mean better... better means better.
I'll have more to come.
Cheers

So we'll see you reviewing some Hatsans soon. I hope.
-
good info Rick! thanks for putting that out there for us and ya a video soon I hope on most of what P.A is gonna handle so we can see how they run! :P
-
Rick, tell him he needs to get me a Mod 125 sniper .22 with a black stock. Same gun as the Falcon Hunter you suggested I buy but with a better stock for me.
-
Rick have you had any experience with the hatsan mod. 95? Im looking to get a new springer and i have narrowed it down to the rws 34 or the hatsan mod. 95. Is the rws worth the extra $75 or should i go for the hatsan which comes with a scope and better stock?
-
I would say the Hatsan mod95 with the wooden stock and the Quattro trigger, just looks better. I have no experience of RWS air rifles but I have shot a Diana (same as RWS)
Having said that I love the retro look of the RWS
-
:D The RWS Diana 34 is nice but has that longish thin feeling which of course takes time to get use too and use to the hold it needs ,which on mine is way towards the barrel end.
I have the Hatsan 95 .22 coming this week
I would get that model its gorgeous Turkish walnut, like knock you socks off when you see it, it actual 800 fps, it is very very accurate all around a highly improved air rifle high quality inside and out.
You can always get a rws dianna 34 down the road maybe even used but i highly recomend jumping on the Hatsan mod 95 .22 get it while you can what a awesome price!! :D
and with any new air rifle remember to clean the barrel out first!

I purchased my Hatsan 135 .22 and was quite happy with it untill the miss fortune of the main spring failing.
Have read so much about the Vortex Ram my math figured that it would out last the spring by many years of trouble free shooting.
Under warrentie I had the option by Hatsan to replace the spring with the New Exciting Vortex Ram. :D yahoo thought.
end story is the ram has been replaced several times with in mounths of each other with seemly lower speeds than the spring did.
And even earler failures. It seems Hatsan has avoided my request for help now for the last few weeks. They want me to keep paying freight and them now for there labor and parts to fix this gun that all ready had 4 fixes applied in the last year or two that never held up.
I think Hatsan USA if they want to keep a happy camper in there camp its time they Man Up and do some great customer relations and send me a new fault free Hatsan 135 .22 cal Vortex gun..... Note they know i have spent enough to be the prowd own of two of these fine springers and still own only one trouble one. :o& in :'( about my Monster that is sickly again and again. ) Note other gun scope company have sent me brand new replacement scopes under warrentie for this gun. And even sent me a soild base mounting system for the scope that passed the test after I had sent it back the second time. The scopes cost more than the Hatsan and were replaced free of charge and they paid the freight both ways......... " Leapers " Co Rocks.
-
we should ask Leapers and see if they will put out an air rifle???
Too bad you are having issues- you should have at least one gun that works and not have to ay for 2-3-4 broken down models-
Maybe it's time to switch gears - get away from the 135?? go to the 95 instead??
I was looking at these (135's qe) real hard but since then - went back to at44 in another Cal. so I will have 177 and 22 - for pesting in close
springer just don;t did for me- been there done that- good luck

Bruce, seriously go outside or something. Get a life. All you've done for the past week is complain on different threads about your situation. This thread hasn't been updated in 3 years, but here you are. You have now been told many times that any issues you are having are most likely your fault. You can't be mad at Hatsan because it's taken you so long to contact them again. Their warranty only lasts for a year. Speaking of, you have yet to answer how you've spent so much money when you've had the majority of your work done under warranty. Once again, please spell check your replies before you post them.

Bruce, like someone else said get a life! You can't keep complaining and expect to get anywhere. You bought the gun in 2013 that is 2 years ago. From the sounds of it Hatsan took care of you for another year on top of that! So you need to man up and accept that you are the one doing something wrong and abusing the rifle because I have said it before there is no one with such bad luck to have 4 of those go out and it be the same problem. You have also ignored all the questions that have been asked to you which further proves you are not as innocent as you claim. Final please please please learn to use spell check or learn to spell Its Warranty not warrantie.

Did I read that he shot like 4000 of the 14.3 crosman pellets at like almost 1100FPS? That's got to be puttin some kind of stress on that propulsion system.
-
according to chairgun a 14.3 crosman .22 pellet at 1100 FPS = 38.42 FPE at the barrel . i thought the 135 was only capable of about 30 FPE max in .22 and low to mid 30's FPE with .25 pellets ???
hatsanman13 , try a crosman NP XL piston .
-
Wow.
I've never seen a resurrection to dig the hole deeper...
-
i don't see how 13 damaged his 135 shooting 14.3 grain pellets , other folks shot those pellets in a 135 with no damage . it seems he sent it back multiple time to get it fixed and it was never fixed correctly . good for hatsan to still try to fix it beyond the warranty period , but since it was never FIXED to start with i understand his frustration . but i don't understand the snide comments to him ........ folks here compliment and brag about guns they've had for years and years over and over and no one complains .... 13 apparently got a lemon and still has a sour taste in his mouth from it , i think he has reason to complain .

I'm just going by what he posted.....notice in his last post how he "left it cocked overnight".
Thanks Paul,
Just chronied 990 with 14.3 CPHP. 31 ft. Lbs.
Just chronied 1092 with 14.3 CPHP. 37.9 ft. Lbs.
After 2000 shots and a good bore cleaning.
Now the the power plant seems to lost is spring :( >:( :-\ :'( and the tree rats are runing a muck here.
Wow I got one installed in my Hatsan 135 22 cal Last week. I was using a Adroid app to check it speed some how at that time I had a extra 2 yards in the gismo and came up with some wild reading. Today I corrected that and operation faulit data to 31 yards it will not take the plus 6".
Yes it is hitting harder than ever this reading was using Crosman 14.3 gr HP pellets from the tin.
i don't see how 13 damaged his 135 shooting 14.3 grain pellets ,
I had one installed on my Hatsan 135 only Crono I have is Android app. Shows 100 fps gain with a cleaned barrel. show same as before with a Dirty barrel. I left is cocked over night just to see. No loss of speed or power. gain in LBS to cock was 45lbs is 66lbs now. I love it. still shoots great.
-
thanks BTB . according to the comments by seasoned springer tuners/shoots leaving even a metal springer cocked for a few days has minimal effect and the gas springers are suppose to be immune to being left cocked . and i'm curious as to how accurate those smartphone FPS meters are .... hopefully a lot more accurate than the smartphone decibel meters , those have a LOT of variance . i understand how too heavy or too light of a pellet can damage a piston seal and sometimes even break metal springs , but i thought gast struts were immune to that , although the seal can still be damaged .
however , Mr Stepping Stone has commented in a video about the large variances in the length and tension of metal springs he taken out of hatsans and he's a big fan of putting nitro pistons in them .

That would be perfectly understandable. However, the problem is he isn't just complaining. He is now going out of his way to find places where he can bash Hatsan. Every single post he's made in the last couple weeks has been the same thing in different places.
Side note, just because some people don't have issues with CPHP's doesn't mean that they aren't a problem. Hatsan guns are known to not take those pellets well because of the way they're made and their material. Their poor fitment in a lot of guns can cause backpressure issues that are akin to dry firing the gun. Which can also cause a whole bunch of other issues with a magnum springer.
