A local fellow has a 1978 Sheridan Blu Streak C series rifle for sale. Cosmetically, the gun is excellent. Easy 8+ out of 10. Stock is nice, but no fancy grain. Assuming it functions as it should, what is the value of this gun? He's asking $100.

Well worth that ... Jump on it !

I'd get it.

I'd jump on that in a heart beat :)

I'm on it. Not too confident though, as he has zero posts. Sometimes they are just trolls, or just testing the waters. The truth is, he's not even allowed to posted a classified yet, so it'll probably get pulled.
I did find another Sheridan though, so I'm tracking that down as well. I picked up a springer from Mike for plinking, etc., due to the tendonitis. But am still wondering if pumps can be the way to go for certain tasks, so I'm looking for a pump rifle. I have a Crosman Medalist II pistol in 22. It's not horrible to pump, but it's more of an occasional shooter because of the elbows.

Hi. I am new here & not trying to hijack your thread. Just wondering if I made a wise purchase lately. I am in the process of purchasing a 1972 Silver Streak in nice condition. A few scratches, but nothing major. Looks like it'll need a reseal. Do you think the $125 shipped price tag was reasonable? I'll find a few pics. Thanks guys. I hope to learn alot here-Mike

Based on prices I've seen. It doesn't sound bad. Look at Mac1airgun for the steroid tune. I might do that to the 80s version i just bought

Cool. Yes, I've already visited Tim a few times & mentioned that I plan to drop it off for his famous Steroid treatment. Should be one heck of a gun when he's done with it!

Josey, that's a very fair price if the gun doesn't need seals. Since you have tendonitis, I will repeat a neat pumping method someone posted Instead of pumping with both hands in an inverted "V", put your foot on a stool, etc and lay the gun barrel upside down across you thigh. Now you can hold the butt in one hand and pump with the other. Allows you to use your weight on the down stroke. Much easier if plinking. Not so easy in the field unless you have a handy stump, split rail fence, etc.
BTW, I was just on the High Road forum and saw a posting with your handle. You frequent that one, too?

I reckon so...
Thanks for the tip on the pump action. BTW, I'm watching my favorite movie as I write this!
