Title: qb 57 dual caliber?
Post by: neithan on January 18, 2012, 04:48:38 PM
i have recently bought a qb 57 in .22 and since archer carries both barrels i got one in .177 as well but this made me wonder if i am damaging my spring and or piston seal by using different weight pellets? does the smaller bore of the .177 create enough back pressure to slow the piston down with a 7.9 grn pellet?

It should be OK. Beeman sell dual caliber rifles. No problems there.

Neithan,

The QB57 is designed to operate in both .177 and .22 caliber. The rear part (action) of the gun is exactly the same, whichever caliber it's purchased as. You should have no worries.

But please ensure that you load safely by keeping your arm between the open cocking arm and body of the gun when your fingers are loading a pellet. See previous posts and my video on YouTube if you have any questions!
