This is not any kind of important post, but I just feel like I have to say that the more I shoot that Disco, the more I love it. It doesn't seem to be able to miss. Not pellet picky at all, but it does the very best with any weight of domed JSB Exacts.
What a gun! Best general purpose small game/target air rifle I've ever owned, hands down.

I agree. Im shooting mine a little at a time and im really diggin it more and more. Mine really like the jsb 15.9gr domed pellets.

I disagree. Any gun that performs that well and makes you that happy is worthy of appreciation and a little bit of spotlight. Therefore, I deem it fairly important. Your post makes me wish I had one just like it.

I think buying a disco is one of the worst infection in agitis you can get in the dark side. Congrats and may the infection grow. I just love my disco 22.

He, he, he. It's nice to be among folks where we get validation that we are all normal in our love airguns.
After all, the question isn't, "How many airguns would a normal person have?", It is, "How many airguns would a normal airgunner have?"

ok, so i'm really starting to think i need a disco, but, i know for a fact if they ever make a lemon. i'll be the one to get it. maybe one of you guys could buy it for me on the sly, i could fake out whoever the god is who assures i always get the lemon.
-
Well I love mine also ;D

To be honest its extremely rare that I've ever heard a bad thing about a disco.. so buy one and don't even think twice about it..
I love my disco but the love I have for it so more then just the gun its self. The parts from a dsico seem to be the foundation for a ton of mods, conversions and builds. The parts are cheap and of good quality.
I always suggest a disco w/pump to anyone thinking about getting their feet wet in pcp's.

Thank for the validation, guys! I never thought I would own an air rifle I would just grab to go hunting with friends even if they all had .22 rimfires. It's that good.

Naw...I'd have gotten it. For about 2 years running, I had a defect rate of 40% on all hunting-shooting purchases. I'm not exaggerating either, it was 4 out of 10 major things that needed returned. I hope my luck is turning.

Get over it dude. Go buy one. If you end up with a lemon make Crosman eat it!
-
What melvin said, get it, make them get you a good one if on the off chance there is an issue. I doubt you'll regret it.
But I do know that feeling of doscouragement where you want to quit buying anything. Manufacturers these days say that you can't inspect quality into a product, so why try? They try to make the process foolproof instead, but they ain't got that part down yet and I think a once over before something goes in the box is still appropriate.
Anyway, there haven't been too many problems with the Discos that I am aware of. It's been out for a few years and seems to be working well. You could spend $1500-$1800 on a Daystate Huntsman and have a defect.

My first disco came to me with a cracked stock. I was not too concerned with it as Pyramyd air fixed me right up. If they would not have crosman told me they would have sent another stock out ASAP. Hard to argue with that sort of service.

^^^ Yep. And it was probably in shipping rather than made wrong. Just my guess.

Bought my son the Disco in .22 for Christmas. Great rifle! It is one of the loudest air rifles I have ever fired though. No bought him a TKO muzzle brake and it is perfect now. I got him the 5".
He is a hunting machine with that rifle now. The black tailed jacks don't have a chance.
Cheers,
James

Stevemag,
Sounds like you really need a PCP. I just joined the club about 2 weeks ago with Benjamin MRod in 177. Sweet, sweet gun! I let my son (9) shoot it yesterday and he absolutely loved it! I have an FWB 124 which is really nice, but a PCP... man, you shoot one and it's hard to wipe the grin off your face!

How quiet does it get with thee TKO? avg to break barrels? Maurader?
-
To put it bluntly I can and most times do fart louder then my 22 disco w/6.5tko
The pellet impact is louder then the shot. Even if it hits nothing but card board..
Comparing my old titant and bigcat to the disco w/tko.. the disco was half as loud as the break barrel..I was always iffy about my neighbores when I was shooting break barrels.. but have never been worried about the disco w/tko or my 2400kt co2 with 7.5 tko
-
Vortek TX200-12ft/lb Tune Kit installed brought my rifle to what seems to be just as quiet as the Benjamin Trail. Cocking seems to be louder than the firing. I will need to locate a SLM to compare dB. Disco has now become an option for me to look into.
-
I had a Marauder that was a sweet, quiet tack driver.

Resistance is futile! I just joined the darkside recently myself.
I'm trying to entice a few buddies into the darkside as well. Disco is a real bargain!

Stevemag, pcp's completely change the pellet gun world.. its like having a low power powder burner that's how accurate and powerful they are.. pick you up a disco with pump and a tko and don't look back..

I agree with what you said. PCPs are like being able to shoot powder burners whenever you want. I have always loved air rifles and bb guns. I bought 2 springers a couple months ago. I learned what the pcps where and bought a couple and now I have no interest in springers. Addicted to PCP for sure.
-
amen, nothing against springers but i wont be buying any more of them... its all pcp for now on

buy it from Mac1 and your worries disapear , tim tunes them up sweet before they go out the door for a few extra pennies . JMO mac1 is quality and worth it if in the market for a disco
-
I've had my disco with 6.5" tko now for about a year an half .many times I have been shooting into my trap filled with duct seal and neighbors in their yard not 15 yards away and they never even notice iam shooting .not that they care tho lucky me for good neighbors

You'll like it. I wouldn't give up my springers--or at least not one, the RWS--to have a self contained meat-getter. (and for the discipline challenge of shooting it) But the PCP is just too easy. Like these guys said, almost a backyard powder burner. It's nice being able to switch pellets without changing the aimpoint to any significant degree or re-condition the barrel by shooting 10+ pellets. It just eats almost anything I feed it. POP POP POP = bullseye bullseye bullseye.
