Nice shot placement Dave!  I have to try the RWS SHP on my 850.

Do you have a lot of fallen tree limbs or a big pile or firewood in the back of your house?  Where do all these chippers live?  One year when I was 13 or 14, my dad, my brother and I cut down 2 small-medium size trees in the backyard that were dangerously close to the house.  We cut up all the wood and made 2 stashes.  1 stash was the thicker heavier logs and the other was all the thinner branches which we used as kindle for the fireplace.  These were pretty big piles and it took us all day into the night to finish.  Well next Spring I started seeing chipmunks regularly and by the summer time those 2 piles 25-30yds from the house, were full of chipmunks.  I was shooting chippers for the next 2yrs left and right with my 760 pumper.  New ones just kept moving in to fill the vacancies. and the cat would also bring dead ones home every couple of months.

So you must have something that they are very attracted to.  What do you think it is?

Thanks Harry! I have a lot of bushes and trees I find their holes around and there is a lot of wooded area surrounding me. Funny story my wife and I were going out today and she had to drop something of at a neighbor a few doors away , I stayed in the car and as she went in their house a red tree rat came running out from under their deck.

Keep'em coming Dave.  Great shot and photo.  My yard has been very quiet since my last kill.   :'(  Though I suppose that was the whole point - mixed feelings I guess.   ;)
