...and realized I've only been shooting with you guys since June 2009??!?!? It feels like I've been here my whole life. Several years at least! Wow, guess my mind's going... or finding GTA was the start of yet another of life's lifetimes. I'll go with that.
Anyhow... checked out some of my old matches, I think this was my first: http://www.gatewaytoairguns.com/airguns/index.php/topic,17156.msg139964.html#msg139964 (http://www.gatewaytoairguns.com/airguns/index.php/topic,17156.msg139964.html#msg139964)
I forgot all about the scope issues I had at first. Y'all set me straight. ;D

Ah! The target on the old forum is my first 30yd bench rest match target, not the new 50 footer. I was feeling all nostalgic. :) Still don't believe I've only been shooting here for little over a year. I coulda sworn it was at least 3 years... oh well. I'm getting older and so's my brain.
For the 50' I was planning on using the 15m rifle target (15m = 49.2ft), but the match is still new and the 20m is an option as well. I figure we'll all decide on one or the other after the first match or so. Or not. We'll see how it all goes. I don't mind allowing the less experienced shooters to use the bigger targets.

Asked m'lady why I thought I'd been shooting here for three years. After some thought, she said it it was because I bought my first AR in '06-'07. Shot some silly targets I downloaded and then found this place a couple years later. She remembers it much more clearly than I do, apparently when I found the target match gates I shouted, "Finally!" and got all excited about having a place to shoot with others. :)
Life is funny sometimes.
