Title: Looking for mid-power, side-wheel AO, mil-dot, 1" tube scope.
Post by: DougT on September 09, 2010, 03:05:24 AM
3-12X or 4-12X or 4-16X.  I've looked for many hours trying to find a scope with these features but nothing.  Many scopes have 3 of the 4 requirements.  the closest I've found is the BSA Contender with the triangular shaped "dots" on the crosshairs.

Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure you look carefully at the eye relief on the BSA. BSA is using a 4" eye relief on there new scopes. I bought one and it just did not work for me..:)

Thanks Gene!   I'll be seriously looking at that one when I'm ready to buy.

Look at the Simmons 44 Mag Series. I think you have to go up kind of high power-wise to get the mil-dot ( like 6x20 0r 6x24) but they're pretty reasonably priced for what you get. They do offer some lower magnification without mil-dots.
Maybe you can find a happy medium
