Title: HW97K muzzle attenuator [or whatever it's called]
Post by: dwood5 on December 19, 2011, 12:13:01 PM
Just so there is no misunderstanding, I'm referring to the "item" that is approximately 6" long and 1" in diameter that surrounds the muzzle of the 97K.

I'm wondering how it is attached. It has one very small set screw [grub screw for those across the pond] in the bottom of it but I doubt that that set screw would be the only thing holding that "item" on the barrel.

I don't want to try to remove mine at the moment so will not experiment.

Is it perhaps threaded on? Then the set screw simply stops it from rotating?

Anyone?

Hi Mark,

Thanks! I also posted this question on the Weiharuch Owner's Forum and got the same responses there [epoxy].

That makes sense. Really no reason to ever remove it.
