So as some of you know I am new and asked a few questions on my Crosman storm XT, but I have always wondered about these big bore air guns.
So I have a few question on these guns?
1. What powers them?
2. how much do they cost?
3. Where to get one?
4. maintenance? How often?
5. and what are we talking about here? Are we talking about a air gun that can take down a deer?
6. and how loud are they? Does someone maybe have a video of them shooting one?
Thanks guys, This site is awesome.

Why are they hard to get a-hold of?

No, it's not that they are hard to get. It's just getting increasingly more difficult to add more guns to an already full gun cabinet. And my wife would absolutely flip if she started finding guns stored in other places. It's not that she is anti-gun or anything. For some wierd "female" reason, she seems to think I have too many guns already. Crazy, huh? Besides, with all of my powder guns, I haven't had a "serious" need for a big bore air rifle yet. Want, yes. Need, not so much.

Yea I really only want one to be able to take down bigger game, but also cause how cool would that gun be to have, well not that^, but a rifle that is .50 cal?
The only other problem is keeping from the GF that I spent $600-$800 on a big bore air rifle, lol, but I think when she see's me break a cinder block with it, she will like it.
Cool, thanks for the info guys, looks like it is something I will have to save up for.
