Title: 1377 - How you tell the date of Manufacture, by the Serial Number?

How to you find out the date of manufacture on a 1377 "American Classic" closed breech pistol?

 The first 3 digits of the serial # are the month and year of manufacture.

Or 4 digits if the month is a double digit month.....
264XXXXX would be feb 1964
1064XXXX would be oct. 1964
