This one has been coming sporadically but nonetheless I set up for him tonight and the push notification alerted me @ approximately 2:50am and I got out of bed quicker than I expected as I ambled to where I had the Notos (pre loaded and de-cocked) and tripod set up and saw on my phone that it was still there eating the crunchy peanut butter so I cocked the Notos, turned on the red LED flashlight mounted on the Notos, flipped the lens caps open and peered thru the scope and found it facing to my right which most of them do I guess because of the way the bait station is situated. I placed the crosshairs between it's right ear and eye and slowly released the trigger....pop...down it went tail whirling away like a helicopter blade for a couple seconds then it expired on the stations platform, a young adult male about 14-15"....I wish they would come a lot earlier...😂. The shot passed thru and must have ricocheted and almost severed it's tail....

I wish I still had my party all night energy yet, to go after Rattus ;)

Nice shot Randall! I doubt I'd have enough wits about me to do anything at 2:50am, let alone twice a rat! I do admire your tenacity! ;D

Paul! Thank you my friend! I attribute that ability from the Long Range tuna trips I go on as it could be a late night bite and one may only have a couple minutes for a chance at that school of fish coming thru with large hooks, bait, lures...one must have some form of awakness or something bad can happen...😂

Marty! Thank you so very much my man! I am old and moldy but can somehow muster the energy to snipe a rat late at night....it is getting a bit tougher to do as I sometimes try and convince myself I can get it another time....😂.

Great shooting there Randall, I know how hard it is to get out of bed that early, but someone has to do it..... :o , I had a Grey Fox in the backyard the other night, eating some old fried rice I tossed out there, I gave it a pass since I don't see them often and it wasn't doing any harm, I hope it catches the stinking Mole that has been digging up my yard..... age does play a factor on the late night hunting, I still haven't gotten a Pig yet, mainly because I have a hard time staying awake...... and my snoring scares them away.... :o :o :o oh well sometime soon I will get one.... ;)
