Should Pennsylvania hunters have the option to use a large caliber air rifle instead of a centerfire rifle to hunt big game? At least one legislator thinks so.
Rep. Gary W. Day, a Republican from Lehigh County, sent a memo on May 7 to his fellow House members seeking co-sponsors for legislation that “would authorize the use of large caliber air rifles for hunting big game in Pennsylvania. This measure is designed to modernize our hunting laws and broaden opportunities for sportsmen and women, particularly those interested in emerging air-powered technologies. We will join 29 other states where this means of hunting is currently legal.”
He wrote, “Air rifles have evolved significantly in recent years. Modern large caliber air rifles are capable of achieving the velocity and energy required for ethical big game hunting — these are not your childhood BB guns."
Air rifles are legal for hunting small game in Pennsylvania.

Nice I came here to post this article as well, thanks for posting. There is a poll in there if anyone wants to help us PA hunters.
I hope this will eventually pass, as well as allowing Sunday hunting.
Pennsylvania is a bit dated with some of their hunting regulations.

I concur, PA is a little slow on a few sporting /gun/range issues. But, they are coming around.

Tom, I was up at 5:oo this morning also,, but not to shoot critters,, anyhow, rabbits seem to be in abundance everywhere this Spring. They sure hit our plantings
this year even after my Queen sprayed & sprinkled repellent :P all over. Dang rain keeps washing it off! Good that you got the culprit at your place.
