Title: No Love for the HW100 BP?
Post by: wolverine on May 17, 2025, 04:43:57 PM
browsing through the Weihrauch gate i see mainly posts about their springers. ii would just like to say if anyone out there is on the fence about purchasing an HW100 BP-K, get off and do it. i purchased mine in 2019 and it is a pleasure to shoot. i chose .177 because i already have .22s and needed something for pest bird control. now it has become my go to gun. i  have taken countless sparrows and starlings, over a dozen groundhogs, a raccoon, and tens of squirrels. (1 ground squirrel at 73 yards) every time i shoot, it's accuracy and quiet report amazes me. it easily took 3 groundhogs at 48 yards with head shots. it shoots almost all pellets well, (1/2" groups with CPHPs at 35 yrds) but shines with polymags out to 60 yards, and beyond that, 10gr. JSB slugs. she's a little heavy, but the weight is at the shoulder and helps in steadying her. the trigger is superb and action is smooth and doesn't allow a double load. i get 42 shots at 17 fpe before an easy fill with the hand pump. (about 50-60 pumps)

so, let's hear it, do you own an HW100 BP, and if you do, how do like it?

Well, it's way out of my pay scale, for one...

Right up my ally, I like the form factor. Good reviews, I may add one some day.

While springers are my main shooters, PCP is a close second, so we do have a compressor. We mostly shoot Daystates, but I have been meaning to add an HW PCP or two, given my love for HW springers. Been thinking about the HW 44 for a long time, given my love of pistol shooting.
