Title: The Chiefs of Beeman
Post by: Nukall856 on May 16, 2025, 05:19:01 PM
Beeman Chief II .22 1335 Synthetic

Bought from Midwestgunworks dotcom for a good price.

Includes 2 of 10 shot magazines
2 of Single shot trays
Allen wrenches
One bolt O-ring replacement

41, 7/8" < 1038 mm OAL
6 lbs +/-

Around 42" OAL and feels like 6 lbs. Synthetic stock with checkered grip areas. The stock has mounting holes for sling mounts. Not many air rifles come with sling attachment points.
The receiver is metal of some type, don't know but it is good that is not polyplastic-synthetic and has 11mm dovetail groove For mounting optics. The bolt has double O-rings.
The rear sight is steel with flathead screw windage and elevation adjustments. Not many steel sights around these days. The front and rear are fiber optic sights. The muzzle end has a LDC which does help with keeping the shot report down.
The safety is near the top of the trigger guard, back for safe and forward to fire. Switching from safe to fire it is abit odd and a little loud when switching to fire.
Compared to the Raider the Chief II has a longer airtube, is longer in OAL and a little heavier also has more power than the Raider.
Before beginning I cleaned the barrel and turned back the hammer spring adjustment to out flush then counted the number of turns in.

4 Stage Hand Pump

1500 PSI start pump count
25 pumps < 2000 PSI
50 Pumps < 2500 PSI

41°F
2500 PSI Start
@ 4.5 turns in

Apolo Magnum 15.4gr

1. 729 @4.5 turn
2. 767 @ 5.0
3. 796 @5.5 < 21.7 FPE
4. 839 @ 6.0 < 24.1 FPE
5. 874 @5.75 < 26.1 FPE < @2200 PSI
21. 871 @1800 PSI

Shots 5 -21 < 870 FPS, Peak, back to 870 FPS.
This has good power. Shot report is not loud thanks to the moderated barrel.
---------
Apolo Magnum 15.4gr
Sig Sauer Dagger 16.0gr
Gamo Master Country 15.4gr
Have done good.

Daisy Pointed 15.4gr sized 5.51mm
Did not do good.

I have More pellets to test and later I will add a scope. I need to record a full shot string. I have it setup close to what I want it to be doing.
Fun
I have another Chief on the way and maybe just maybe I'll add another at a later time.

It seems like you officially have the addiction now! LOL. Thanks for the info. Glad it is better shooting weather up there. Keep us updated on the results.

39°F

Beeman Chief II Plus Regulated 1341

Bought from Ebaydotcom
Includes 2 of 10 shot magazines
Two of Single shot trays
Allen wrenches and degassing tool.

Arrived in good condition with 2500 PSI of air. Good.  Same features as the Chief II Synthetic 1335. The trigger is nice with a light first stage and a second stage that is good I can let my shots off when I want.
I filled to 3400 PSI and head out. Within 15 minutes the pressure dropped to 3100 PSI
Before beginning I cleaned the barrel, tightened the stock screws and set back the hammer adjustment to out flush.

3400 PSI fill
3100 PSI Start

APT 18.0gr
1. 612 @ 0 turns < 15.0 FPE
2. 647 @ .5 < 16.7 FPE
3. 677 @ 1.0 < 18.3 FPE
4. 696 @ 1.5 < 19.4 FPE
5. 715 @ 2.0 < 20.4 FPE
6. 745 @ 2.5 < 22.2 FPE
7.  766 @ 3.0 < 23.4 FPE
8. 768 @ 3.5 < 23.6 FPE
9. 775@ 4.0 < 24.0 FPE
10. 763 @ 4.5 < 23.3 FPE
11. 774 @ 4.0 < 23.9 FPE
Shot twenty < maybe, lost count while sighting in the open sights. 769 FPS < 23.6 FPE
2400 PSI end

I lost count while shooting getting the open sights to hit close at 30+ yards.

23.6- 24.0 FPE @ 4.0 turns on the hammer spring adjustment.
Very adjustable power from 15 -24 FPE using 18.0gr pellets.
I might turn the adjustment back to 3.0 for 760 FPS and 23FPE should be the most efficient use of air and power. With the HS set all the way out im sure I could get Alot of shots @ 15 FPE before the shots fall off the regulator.
I'll check performance with lighter 15-16gr+ pellets. I have an Aluminum Quick Shot Side Lever Breech that will be installed on this Beeman 1341. Once I have the SL breech on I'll add a scope. Then the 1341 breech will be moved to the Beeman Raider.
