Title: Heads up! Flash .22 refurb for $130 from Hatsan USA
Post by: Smbob on May 16, 2025, 01:31:40 AM
I am a huge fan of the Hatsan Flash platform. Especially in .22 caliber.
I was getting kind of bored sitting around, and decided to check out the Hatsan USA Refurb deals.
They were selling a refurb Flash .22 for $130! $145 shipped to my door.
I decided to do a build on this one for the cheap cheap using mostly parts I already had on hand.
I currently own a Flashwood .22 that is the most accurate PCP rifle I own.
Why not attempt to do something similar with this synthetic Flash .22?
This gun is great! The gun feels so solid! Don't be fooled by, synthetic.
You will handle this gun once, and you will agree, trust me! Especially for $145!
You might think' "Refurb" it has to be a cast off piece of junk that someone returned to Hatsan, and they jimmy rigged to sell to someone, right?
WRONG! This gun was pristine! It didn't have a nick, a scratch, or a dent on it It was perfect! It filled up fine. It held air. No issues.
I have bought many refurbs off of the Hatsan USA Site, and have never got a bad one!
I used to own a Flashpup Wood in .25. I was never a fan of that rifle.
I just don't think this platform has enough air capacity to support the .25 caliber.
I would get maybe a mag and a half with less than stellar velocities. Not what I'm looking for.
With my .22 Flashwood I would get 3+ mags that would put 5 shots under a dime at 50 yards with
H&N Barracuda 21.14gr pellets. That's plenty good enough for me for hunting!
One thing I discovered is the QE Shroud isn't really all that quiet and doesn't help accuracy very much.
I replaced it with a tensioned 20mm carbonfiber shroud I got off of Amazon. I had to cut it to length.
I also added a Termidator Industries carbonfiber Weinerdog moderator. This gun is quiet and deadly accurate!
I plan to do a similar build, except I will be going with Termidator's latest Moderator, the Bak-Flo Medium.
It is supposed to have better sound control and better accuracy.
I will post results of future range sessions.

In December 2024 they had sitewide 30% off free shipping.
I got .22 Flash Synthetic Refurbished for $91.00 they were 129.99 at the time, less 30%

For the Hatsan airguns USA website in the future try coupon codes

"freeship" for free shipping

and

"refurb15" for a 15% discount on refurbs AND free shipping

Codes MAY or MAY NOT work as they randomly(?) turn these coupon codes ON/OFF every few weeks. Usually only 2-5 days ON when active.

I got my first FlashQE refurb with the freeship code end of last year. Code is expired as of this post but it was on about two weeks back. I expect it may be refreshed near end of the month? That FlashQE needed some significant repair/tuning but is now shooting fine.

I got a second FlashQE refurb using the refurb15 code (total ~$110.50 no shipping). That code is also expired as of this post but it was on about a month ago. Can't report on the status of THAT rifle yet. Too busy to do more than verify it arrived pressurized, is still holding air, and will dry fire if I cock it and pull the trigger. Seems like it MAY be in better condition than my first refurb?

Happy bargain hunting! :-)
