Good Morning Airgunners! Thank you for being part of the GTA!
So yesterday afternoon, Sue and I set up to do some testing of our live stream setup. Invariably, Vimeo had a glitch and would not share the stream. We moved over to AirgunArmy, which seemed to work just fine. (check it out here: https://army.airgunarmy.com/posts/welcome-to-airgun-expo-2025-livestream-preview-barra-250z-unboxing-and-scope-install) Later, Vimeo started to work.. ug. I've sent emails out to Vimeo support to see if we can get things resolved sooner rather than later. Ideally, we want to be able to run the stream through Vimeo and then have it available on all three of our main website homepages: www.airgunweb.com, www.gatewaytoairguns.com, and www.theairgunexpo.com. We'll link to the Vimeo Livestream across all the various platforms to help get traffic over to the main stream page. That's the basic plan, anyway.
So, what do we have going on today? Well, I'll be unboxing and looking over the gear from Nate Chrony. Hopefully, I'll get down to the range for some testing tomorrow and over the weekend. The weather looks "marginal" at best, but we will make the most of it. I'm very excited to test out the electronic target system, the new chrony units, and the new chrony units with the training module. Stay tuned for all that fun!
Later today I'll be heading to town to pick up a bunch of gear that's come in for the Expo. We have guns from Crosman, New England Airgun, Barra, and others. We also have SWAG for the event. On that note...
I'm looking to create some GTA shirts, hats, and mugs. I've been getting most of that from Vista Print because of the convenience, but it's very expensive. In order to have any benefit to the forum financially, I'd have to price things well above my comfort zone. I'm going to look at local vendors here in El Paso that do the same work. It won't have the same quick lead time, but if I can get the cost down to reasonable, it may be worth it. My question to you all is if you guys and gals would like to get some GTA related gear, and if so, what makes the most sense? Please let me know what you all may like and some basic pricing that would be palatable.
Ok, so that's it for now. I need to get to the office and write up the publication docs for this week's videos. (stay tuned!) I hope you all have a great day and can get out and do some shooting. Thank you for being part of the GTA!
Cheers
Rick
