I tried some H&N FTT's out of it today the 5.53 head size, it seems to like the bigger CPHP's and shoots them with about the same accuracy so I thought what the heck and heres the first 5 pellets from the gun with the FTT's at 30yds! so they proved I didn't need to shoot anymore to see if they were accurate what do you think? :P

-
Thanks Dustin I was hopin you'd catch this thread so you could see what mine was doing! :P
-
Dime size in .22! Thats just awesome. Mine is really liking JSB express 14.3. Got to get a good weather day and get it outside.
-
Is she stock or have you lube tuned , seal , or kitted it ect. ?
-
That 30 yard group could have been covered with less than a dime. I reckon it'll keep.
Richard
-
Great shooting there Mark
-
Ya Richard it was less than half the size of a dime LOL!!!!! Dustin all I've done to the rifle was replaced a bad piston seal and polished up the spring ends and lubed it up proper and shes very smooth and the accuracy speaks for itself! aack73 thanks! :P
-
Thanks brother TP! :P
-
Cool Thanks. Maybe you should get a .25 cal now. That way you will have a .25 pellet around to cover that .22 group. LOL. ;D Again great shooting! ;D
-
That's some great shooting Mark ;D
-
Dang Mark- that's excellent shooting!
-
Great shootin Mark. Looks like some of my groups with my HW 97...:) They are surely one of the best shooting springers made.

Uh-oh- when you say it will never leave you, that's serious. :)
-
you got that right! hey Twig thanks for the comment! :P
-
cajunboy I have to agree with you I've owned many AG's and these 97's IMO are top notch on looks and performance and ease of operation for underlevers in my book :P
-
when you opened yours up what did you use to break the end cap loose in the trigger group slot??
Also how tight was it from factory???
-
I use a BIG open end wrench but I put a rag in there first so it has a snug fit so I don't scratch the bluing and you turn it counter clock wise! :P
-
so it was not all that tight ??? No need for a brass hammer etc???
I have combination wrenches on hand up to 2 inches and large metric sizes around. I was going to make a brass/bronze tool to fit slot....
but if its not all that tight no need to, just pad the right thickness tool and go for it
-
No its not that hard but it does take a jolt to break it lose I put the action in a padded vice and before I try to remove the end cap to hold it securely and the wrenches you have I'm sure one will work! :P
-
Hey Mark, Very nice shooting. I should get my PS thursday. I'll give you a call after I test it. Craig
-
Good deal Craig look forward to hearing from you! and thanks. :P
-
Upon closer inspection of the photo you can clearly see that is one of those giant plastic dimes from the dollar store! What you tryin to pull! Lol great shooting as usual mark.
-
Thanks brother! ;D :P
-
Mark: I had my HW97K .177 out on Tuesday (not shot for about 90 days) and was gonna shoot some groups until...
...the first 3 pellets went in the same hole at 30 yards off the bench!
Is this the best spring gun ever or what!?
-
That might work if I had one LOL!!!!!!!!!!! ::) :P
