Come one, come all... Casual Match #8 of 2024/2025 is open for business!!!

The Casual Match is a fun match. All are welcome!  Boys, girls, men, women, and significant others  - everybody get your pellet gun and have a fun time shooting. I smell something Pinty... [sniff, sniff]... I think it's a 200 from James next go round. [chuckling]

I may add there was no POI change when I added the Buck Rail compression suppressor, but I do hear a bit of a ping from the air tube now :)

Nice to hear!  Except for the ping [chuckling]

I think with the shroud on, you're good. Only proof still needed is a hunting torture test?

Next match, I'll try with my Pinty carbine. With the shroud off, a band is a must!

Never got a 200 before, but daring to hope the barrel bandit will get me there!

Gave it another try today after the Easter morning festivities were done. Shot this with my Walther LG 400. I decided to try some different pellets this time. I watched a review from one of the YouTube guys I follow from England. He had good results with the H&N Excite Econ2 pellets so I ordered a tin to try out. So far they are working great in the Walther. From the bench they are right on the heels of the Finale Match Heavy that my rifle loves. When I’m standing and shooting free hand there is no difference that I can tell. Anyway, here is my result.
Walther LG 400
Aperture sights
H&N Excite Econ 2
Ten meters
Standing freehand
183 with one X

Thank you Splitbeing. I’d had a scope on my Walther lately for silhouette shooting and I haven’t practiced with the aperture sights in a while. I was a little worried that I might have regressed a bit. However I matched my score from my last casual match; minus one X.

Target shooting is new to me. I might try offhand next matc if still feeling inspired. It's casual so a terrible score might be ok [chuckling].

Nice shooting Kgphotos! Offhand with your Walther LG 400 is performing well. Keep at it my friend.
John and Eric you guys are doing terrific, John, I think a you shot a 200 every time out this season. Good going buddy.
And Erick you gonna blow my doors off. You're already out shooting me with your Daisy vs my Daisy. I'm looking forward to getting my glasses to improve my aperture sights shooting ability. At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Rion  you also had a good event. You're doing well.
Back_roads excellent shooting. Looking forward to seeing what happens in two weeks.

Well y'all it's time to move to the next round. Tomorrow I will post it.
