I recently aquired a Diana 34 EMS Classic in .22 from BullseyeSouth.

I purchased the Premium Front Sight Kit from Hector Medina. Check this Post:

Here's the original front sight and the base for the new front site:

The new base replaces the original sight and is secured and adjusted with a set-screw:

The kit included these two steel alignment bars:

The alignment bars in action, one across the barrel pivot block one on the front base flat:

Part 2:
The supplied alignment bars are very handy, but I'm old and don't see that well.
I cheated with an inexpensive electronic level.
First set the rifle up level in a padded vice. The alignment bar makes a handy base for placing the level on the block. Use masking tape to protect the rifle's finish:

Then level and secure the front base using the same technique:

The front sight installs with a single phillips screw/clamp arrangement:

And suddenly, you're finished! The rifle looks great and you'll have to carry around a stick to swat off the babes!

The Premium Front Sight kit is all metal and I like the improved sight picture. I may convert the rear to a peep sight at some point.
The rifle is still in it's break in period so I'm just going to shoot it as-is for a few hundred more shots.
Thanks to Hector Medina and BullseyeSouth for feeding my insanity.
Cheers,
G
