Title: Hello GTA Community

So how did I end up here....

I won't give the complete story but the somewhat abridged version is that my kids all recently joined 4-H and had to complete a required Hunter Safety program in.order to complete in Archery (which we all had some experience with) We front loaded that a bit with some basic training/marksmanship on my oldest son's Daisy 880 (reminds me of the one I had as a kid). The kids all loved the class expecially the shooting which led me to research possible 10M Air Rifle for them in the future as a next step  My second son also wants an Air Rifle for his upcoming birthday. Rather than just get another consumer grade airgun like the 880 I researched some compatible Air Rifles for 4-H 10M competition and learned about the Daisy 853 and the CMP program where I could get a great shooter for a great price . My research led me to several great posts on this forum.

I am now the owner of two such Daisy 853 "projects" and trying to get one ready for my son's upcoming birthday in less than a week.

This seemed like a great and helpful community so decided to join up and continue to learn.
