So, I haven't seen anything to shoot at in a couple days and today a heavily baited but only saw a glimpse of a hosp. Thus, I had to get down on the 45' basement range with the 2400kt. It's cold so I put a hand warmer on the gun and opened the basement ducts to warm it up.
I shot some rounds, I'm guessing around 10 or 15, before I got on the range. Once there, I'm sitting, with a tripod in front of me. My elbows are unsupported. I'm shooting first bottom left to right. As you can see, the first shot I just slipped. Then, I got in the zone, shooting 3 shots at east circle, with each circle being under the size of a dime.
So, as I'm shooting I notice the poi is drifting lower, and, in fact, that I'm compensating. I hold very steady and I see that the gun is now shooting low. But then again, I'm at like shot 33 or so. For fun, I do a 2 mildot holdover and that's a good experiment. It's good to know that when you're low on CO2, you've still got a couple decent shots left if you're willing to do a holdover.
Something else I did with a fresh cart, is an honest to goodness test of the PBA ammo (not pictured). I had thought it shot pretty well through my gun. Wrong. Sure, two pellets were spot on, but two others were an inch right and high and an inch left and high. The whole group was over 2". I'm going to say that the PBA is useless in not only springers but CO2 guns.
