Title: Huma regulator
Post by: chuck berry on February 24, 2025, 01:26:05 PM
I have a Brocock Bantam Sniper. 22, with an external adjustable Huma regulator set to 160 bar. Can I reduce setting to 150 bar without damage to regulator after draining reservoir down to140 bar? The manual states to drain all air before reducing setting, but you can increase setting anytime. Any advice is appreciated.

Would think so ... but to be totally safe ... IMO, drop the HP side at minimal 20-30 bar below where you think LP will be adjusted too.
You need to absolutely make sure the seat is nowhere near touching or damage to it will result.

Just a heads up, if you're draining the reservoir directly, you need to fire a clearing shot to purge the pressure in the plenum (which allows the valve seat to separate and stay separated).

Whereas you don't need to do that if the pressure is bled down from the plenum side, or if you're taking the pressure down by dry firing.

Very good point Jason, thanks. All thoughts are appreciated. Some things can be easily overlooked or forgotten.
