Two rats at the feeder this morning, but I didn't realize the second one was there because he was behind the tree while I was watching him through the scope!

The .30 Impact sent him rollin! Overkill? Yea, maybe a little, but it was the easiest airgun to grab at that moment. Another 50 yard shot on a fat rat! This guy has a crooked tail, gotta wonder if I had anything to do with that? I have had a couple close misses when they dart off faster than I'm anticipating! :o
-
Number 2 returned! Bad decision on his part, the Impact was still set up and ready to go!

Poor thing never stood a chance. On the bright side, he won't be missing his buddy! ;D
That .30 cal pellet pretty much gutted him! :o
The Possoms will be eating good tonight! ;D

Nice shooting Paul!

PAUL! Two most excellent shots and videos plus pics! That .30 sure did some MASSIVE damage! The second shot looks like it obliterated it's spinal column in addition to the organ removal service you provided! Your rat surgery skills are still legendary 🤗! I have another rat but it hasn't stayed long enough for me to help it with it's insomnia...😂.

Thanks Dave!

Thank you Randall! Those 50+ grain pellets do pack a wallop! LOL! The rats here were doing that streak in and streak out thing, but today, they seemed to not have a care in the world! Maybe being gone for a week with no lead flying lulled them into complacency! ;D

Paul , those rats were obviously low on their Pb supplement ( Lead ). The .30 was able to provide the required dosage , unfortunately it was
a lethal dose !!

Perhaps the blue is having a calming effect, Hwy departments plant blue flowers where they want speeds slower ???

Nice shooting, Paul! Wow, that first one is a fatty!

Thanks Marty! I do my best to ensure these rats get their daily dose of essential minerals, even if it kills that!!! :P

LOL! I didn’t know that! The blue was the lightest color I had that still worked. I prefer yellow or white, but as long as it provides some contrast, it works!!!

Thank you Dinh! Both were larger than I typically get, but the first one was a porker! Must have fattened up due to the colder weather!

Hmm
I find I tend to drive faster when the sky is nice and blue :D

Paul congrats on the double kill! Excellent shooting! Man, you dissected the 2nd one ;D They sure are chubby almost round like a ball. I think it means you are feeding them too well :)

Thank you Harry! They be eating good in the hood! ;D I have to wonder if it has anything to do with the 9 inches of snow we got here last month? It's definitely not normal for this area, maybe they are packing on the pounds just in case it happens again!
