Hey there all,
While we collect data on how to handle large posts (Please review that post and vote!), let's discuss another topic.
We have a lot of products sitting in the queue to review and demo for the GTA. I'm inclined to spend more time on AFFORDABLE products that are more practical to more shooters. What products interest you all? I'm currently talking to Pinty, who may be sending some stuff my way. I've also got JTS, Gamo, Umarex, Crosman, Benjamin (someone on YT asked for another look at the Armada, which I'm inclined to pull out of mothballs and showcase again), and many other lines. What guns and accessories do you all shoot, and what products would you like to know more about?
Thanks!
Rick
p.s. The forum seems to be working well and very responsive. Please be sure to let the moderators know if you run into any issues.

Sub $500. Why? Because I'm a cheap s.o.b. ;D
Oh, and a broke one too. :-\

$300 or less for me.

$300 or less for me.
LOL, me too but I didn't want to sound like a bottom feeder. ;)

I want a beer and I want to see something naked!! 🤣😂🤣

I know "Full Auto" BB guns are popular with many folks now. (not me personally)
Think Crosman's R-1, AK1, DPMS SBR. Umarex's Strikeforce, etc...
How about a comparison "shoot-off"?

There used to be Dianas down here, then some full auto bb guns, always the member classifieds...even the drinks are good down here!

I'll go with the flow of what everyone else would like.
No preference here.
Best Wishes - Tom

Three wants:
1. Reviews of pellets, especially ones that have not been reviewed. Can't do much without ammo!
2. A full range of prices in airguns reviewed, covered not so much because of the price but because of useful traits, especially unusual ones.
3. Long-term reviews that test a gun when new, after XXXXX pellets shot, and that compare shot results. Comments to include notes on parts availability, ease of adjustments/repair, and manufacturer support.

Hey there guys.
THANK YOU for your input. I'm looking at all of these and coming up with a way to incorporate these suggestions..
I'll have more questions / comments as we continue the discussion.
Thank you again.
Cheers
Rick
p.s. keep em coming!

The Pinty rifles are starting to see some activity and interest. I look forward to your interaction with those guns. The sub $300 price point always seems to stir a lot of activity on GTA so would love to see more.

Are other people interested in target pistols?

Pistols, target pistols yes. Too many replicas and too few other types under $500.
Affordable usually means made in China. In airguns stuff I try to avoid China, except the compressor, and the filter and the…

LOL... love the exceptions.

Hey there folks.
This is a very helpful thread. I like the idea of pellet testing.. I also like the idea of creating a standard set of pellets for testing when we do reviews...
hum...
cheers

Be careful what you ask for.

I'll 2nd the vote for some of the "off brand" pellet testing in price point AND upper tier guns. Example; I've had good results w/ Rifle brand pellets & different
weights of slugs , that mirror JSB / Knockouts in several levels of my guns.

Speaking of R-10's...
I have many tins.. but get better groups with Meisterdamnit's.
Creedmoor are are a close second... Then the higher end Vogels.
How about a 10M match pellet review?

What they said. Yes, focus on the lower end guns, although I do enjoy seeing how the other half live occasionally. And as the tinkerers come up with gadgets to make guns shoot better, and then move into production by the aftermarket guys, I'd be interested in how some of them work. Maybe the commercial versions of an SSG, or some of the doodads at Air Revisions or the other aftermarket guys. Some of the Buck-Rail stuff. These things aren't terribly expensive, but possibly could make a difference for a casual shooter who isn't into tinkering but just wants a better shooter.

Hey Rick
While your talking to Pinty, why not get a few scopes to test along with their new line of PCP's? Might be interesting to see how they stack up against other brands.
Thx
Ray

Rick, if you have developed some kind of relationship with Pinty maybe you can get some idea of the future of these guns. Are they a flash in the pan thing or do they plan to continue bringing them to market?

Pinty caught me off guard, I would of thought CV Life would have been first to release a PCP.

I bleive Pinty has about run through their first batch of airguns already. Our enthusiasm for the products probably enhanced their sell-through success. I will reach out to them to see where they are at re long term support and development. But, it seems clear that their guns were at least a momentary success.
I'll also reach out to them about their scopes. I tried to bundle an optic for testing, but they did not have any of their "normal" scopes on the site. I would have liked a 4-16x50(or 40) AO MD scope. That was the bread and butter budget scope I used for Airgun Pro Shop back in the day.
Cheers

I see Ebay has them listed at lower prices, but GTA code is not valid.
