Had to buy this to try to restore it. A bit of airgun history that was sadly neglected, rusty and not working. Here is my week long journey in pics. Once apart two mechanical issues had to be fixed, a new leather seal for the piston and a new leaf spring for the trigger, rust snapped the old one. Surface rust dealt with my trusty stainless steel pad. Works great to scrape off rust but not bluing. At the end the finished restored pistol cocked, what a crazy piece of milled steel engineering. A 118 years old, and pumping lead!

Steve,
That is very cool indeed. Great job on repairing the issues. I hope to see again soon as a “which oldie did you shoot today.”

It feels so good when you restore a vintage air pistol, but especially Westley Richards "Highest Possible"
