Years ago I remember seeing aperture sights that mounted just in front of the loading port on the older Sheridan's, does anyone have any knowledge about these? I been doing some searching but coming up empty handed, I looked into old Parker-Hale stuff not there.
Thanks-

Today while scrolling yt I saw a photograph of a hold down safety streak with a tang safety. This was a first for me.

You may be thinking about the Sheridan Model A ??

Yeah...I spotted those yesterday Steve on Ebay
The ones I remember seeing back in 70-80's clamped on the barrel just in front of the loading port.
I'm going to brows some more today
Thanks

I was thinking maybe the Benji 273 peep... but nothing I find goes "in front of the loading port"

This thread has some info on the #273 peep.

Years ago, I remember having a Sheridan with an " odd " peep sight on it. I think it was adapted to fit. I don't this I have that rifle any more, but will look .

No, I sold it years ago.

I'm played out on looking, could have been modded in the day but saw more than one set up in this configuration.
I do appreciate all the response though. I'm still studying things on the rifle to add a peep, not past drilling and tap for the Williams but maybe can get creative, we'll see :)
Thanks-

At a certain point it became a factory option until I believe '84 or '86 when they started drilling & tapping all of them.
Since there's really no way to tell with most guns whether it came with the William's peep, there is absolutely nothing to loose aside from messing up if you don't just send it in for the work.
I don't remember the number or if he's gotten his new website up, but Tim at Mac1 only charged me $10.
