Title: Maybe my next 3D printer
Post by: Privateer on January 21, 2025, 05:28:16 PM
Anycubic Kobra 3 Combo multi color printer. Was looking at the Bambu A1 combo printer until I read about some software updates that just don't work for me.

Let us know what you get and how you like it.

I've been reading similar about Bambu -- exceptional print quality, but the Apple-like control on parts and software is scary.  Waiting for the day their owners are told their printer is no longer supported because it can't be upgraded to BambuOS 4.0.
I'm (for now) quite content with my Ender 3, thankyouverymuch.

I'm happy with my Vyper and still have the other one Matt gave me to fix yet.
The Kobra 3 Combo will allow multi color prints and is cheaper then the Bambu.
The box for multi colors also works as a dryer. And if I add a 2nd box will allow 8 color printing.
Just what I need. A whole new line of hey!  What is going on now.

Another benefit is that you can print in 2 disimular materials using one for support and the support just falls off.

Kobra 3 is in house. Gonna let it warm up a couple days before I assemble it. Parts are to cold to handle!

I would be too eager and suffered contact frost bite.

I need to move a metal shelf unit and then put brackets to hold new table top.
That will be the home for the Kobra. Then gonna install curtains around the print area to get heat piped in for a stable temp for the printers.

That actually looks like a really good deal.  Excellent price point and there are a number of good reviews on Youtube.
I almost went for that one but decided not, only because I really wanted a nice higher end machine.  Bang for the buck
on that one is superb.  Well I just ordered Bamboo Labs P1S Combo.  I wish it had the "dry while you print feature".

I have a Bambu Lab P1S with AMS and I love it.
