Post by: pipestone on January 21, 2025, 02:49:19 PM
I'm thrilled!!!.......I just acquired a real nice Blue streak with rocker safety.  Was wondering what your experience is with the best grouping pellets for these older rifles in the .20 cal. would be, I need to order some.

Thanks for your time-

Dana

There are only three choices at .20 any more

H&N FTT         11.42
JSB Diabolo      13.73
JSB Diabolo Heavy     15.89

I have a stable full of Sheridan's & find that all pellets usually shoot very accurately. My favorite are the JSB Exact Diablo 13.73.

From back in my aircraft rework days, I had thought about using one of my adjustable 5C collet indexers to swage .22 cal pellets to .20 cal then run them thru a sizing die to make any weight that I want.  Just a proof of concept thought.

Motorhead made a sizing system that did just that, and showed promising results.

Any of the 3 Robert 5mm shows would be fine, but I prefer the heavier pellets, so I'd go with the JSB's.

Doesn't Benjamin make any of the .20 caliber any more?  Glad I bought 5 tins awhile back when they were 12 or 13 bucks for 500 on Amazon.

Thanks Gentlemen for your suggestions!

Placed an order this morning, Its been too cold here to do much shooting out of doors this past week any how, but spring is coming, and a few gophers should start appearing here in about a month or so, I'll be ready for them  :)

Thanks-
Dana

Randy,
Benji quit making those about 5-6 years ago. Now , you might see those for $$$$ on E Bay, over-priced like some others on the auction site .

Great post question! I just got one myself last month, and our weather has been to &^^& to get out and shoot it. I guessed right it sounds like. I ordered the JSB diablos and the JSB heavies.
