Does anyone else collect Plainsman Air pistols & rifles? First I bought the co2 pistol from Ebay. That sparked my interest in Plainsman airguns.
Just bought this Plainsman .28 air shotgun. Anyone else shooting these .28?
Thanks
Randy

That's interesting, how is the shot loaded/held in the chamber?

Peter
The producer sold cardboard tubes filled with shot. I will DIY something similar. Thank you for interest.
I decided to collect every Plainsmans Challenger airgun produced. There were only 5 types guns made.

The rabbit hole is steep and slippery. :D

Bought this Challenger Arms [CA] pneumatic rifle. Stock means to be refinished. Hunting for a Challenger Arms pneumatic pistol, that would complete my set of Challenger Arms airguns: 2 pistols, 2 rifles, 1 shotgun.

I have a C02 pistol, I got it from the DT Fletcher collection AoA awhile back. Its been heavily modded by DT Fletcher. Crosman 160 components were used. Shoots hard.

Thanks for sharing that 160 mods fact, these pistol are strong without modification.

The one with the white grips?

Yes, that's the one 8) Shoot have said it was heavily modded by Peter Ruut.

You'll find collecting all the different versions of the Challenger Plainsmans a lot more challenging than you had first imagined.
In the pistol alone, there are five major type with a total of 11 variants. And that does not include .22 caliber vs .177 caliber if you wanted one of each caliber.

Hope you are well. Thank you so much for pointing this out. I know you do incredible airgun research. Could you please share the list of airguns produced Challenger Arms company. I reviewed the catalogs and thought their product line was limited to two air pistols, one pneumatic, and one co2 and same thing with the rifles one pneumatic, and one co2. Then the .28 cal shotgun is an oddity making 5 model produced
Please help me out. What did I miss ? Was it the Healthways 175 made as a Marksman ? Looking forward to your answer my friend and thank you correcting my faulty thinking. I always want to learn.
Kindest Regards,
Randy

That shotgun would be the cat's azz for shooting carpenter bees! Maybe I can cobble something up like it. I have a few guns that could be donors

Peter
To save you the DIY effort. Gamo made .22 smoothbore for air shotgun. If you cobble something up remember to share the fun, bro.
