Welcome to the GTA Chris!
-
Great way to start off ... ::)
When I meet a new group of people I say "Hi, my name is Scott" smile, and hold out my hand to shake, then tell a little about myself.
It is called an "introduction" because you introduce yourself.
They will usually tell me their name in return and then the conversation starts... interests, relationships, or even the weather.
Why is this any different?

Welcome Chris..
You don't have to do anything if all you want to do is read.. you can just read as a non registered "guest" as far as I know. However, if you want to interact and have the advantage of our "Classified Gate" you'll need to register and meet the mandatory requirements such as a minimum 20 posts and 30 days registered after which you will be able to post links and add attachments.
As Scott said, it's courtesy to introduce yourself as it's courtesy on our part to welcome new members. We are a fellowship of like minded folks that wish to share our experience and knowledge in the hobby/sport of airgunning.
Not only that, we also do this to protect our members from scammers, bots and trollers just bouncing in to do what they do.
I highly recommend ALL new members to actually take the time to read and become familiar with our forum rules as bending or breaking them can lead to various levels actions up to and including permanent banning.
We hope you enjoy your stay with us.

HOWDY, WELCOME, HAVE FUN, AND "Follow the Yellow Brick Road”
PS, I doubt I will be reading any post from you

I always wondered where the Grinch goes after Christmas, now I know:

Guys... this ain't the first and won't be that last time a new member joins and complains about our entry procedure. But most, once in and find out who we are and why we do what we do, get it. ;)

Well hi Scott, I am Kurt.
Glad to see there are still people like you.

Welcome to the GTA. Taking bets whats the odds?? David

LOL... never know, he may end up being our "2025 man of the year". Stranger things have happened... ;D

Why the tantrum?
It really isn't difficult. Just type a little introduction. = https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=151680.msg1551060#msg1551060
That helps other members get to know you and helps the site Admins & Moderators weed out bots & scammers.
Reading the site rules is also a good idea. You will know immediately if you don't like the site rules and requirements. That will save you time and energy.
Welcome to the GTA forum Chris, if you decide to stay :-)
Best wishes if you decide this Forum is not for you and move on.

Looks like he was a one and done hit and run anyways.

Why do I feel the need to welcome you. This is dumb dumb dumb. And, by the way, you still haven’t introduced yourself.
