Title: UPS fails me again
Post by: Matchstickshooter on January 03, 2025, 12:20:36 PM
I had ordered something for my wife from Amazon. It was on it's way here from the West coast. It got all the way here, To the UPS plant 2 miles away.
It's next stop would have been the P.O.,1/2 mile in the same direction. Smart Post or some such thing.
I even had the UPS tracking number AND the P.O. tracking number for when they hand it off.
Anyway, I got a notice it was refused by Anonymous receiver and being shipped back to sender.
They could have called. I'd have driven up there to pick it up.
I just looked up UPS reviews.   not very good.  1.2 out of 5......

This is the second time in about 3 years they've done this.

I think sometimes the driver gets lazy and lies about someone rejecting a package when no interaction happened. Several years ago the  driver claimed nobody was home, despite the fact that both my husband and I were in the rental house and our landlord was in her house  on the same parcel. She said NO delivery truck had appeared there, period.

The driver dumped the package at the local PO instead. I was lucky it was a very small town PO.

More recently, UPS claimed that they had "met recipient" at the PO, when I was at home.

High employee turnover and bad managers are delivering their combined effects.
