I have a new RWS Model 54 coming from Pyramyd Air, does anyone know what trigger it will have? It’s going to be what it is; I’m just trying to study the right information, so I’ll be a little more “Up” on it when it arrives.
Thanks for any information,

If it did not say T-06 it will probably be old stock T-05.

Per PA pics T05. Doesn't have the little screw going down through the trigger. The 54 will be nice with the stationary barrel. Will hold accuracy longer than a break barrel. Just my thoughts. Rickey

Well, I couldn’t stand it, so I called them, and they said it will have the T06 trigger! It’s probably still a couple of weeks out, since they have to check over the Benjamin NP XL I returned to make sure I didn’t work in it with a fire ax, and it’s not even scheduled to arrive at PA until this Wednesday (11/30/11).
I’m guessing they just haven’t updated their pictures that they show on line. I’ve noticed even some of the rifles that clearly are described as having the T06 trigger, show the T05 trigger in the pictures.
So, anyway I’m excited to see, and will check it out myself.

Well, I got the confirmation, interesting, the gun was made in Germany and it will arrive on Pearle harbor day.
On a side note, I got a package deal that included the RWS 54, scope, mount, and rings. I called and confirmed that it will have the T06 trigger, and the description on the PA web site says in red letters, that mount won’t work on a RWS 54 with the T06 trigger…..We’ll see….I have an email in to them, but haven’t heard back yet.

Well, the Diana 54 arrived a day early, and it has the T06 trigger! But it also has a longer rail, so the scope mount that came with the package deal doesn’t fit. Awesome rifle, I shot it a few times in the garage, but my eyes aren’t what they once were, so I’m chomping at the bit to try it with the scope on it.

Keep us posted man!

Flip the mount around backwards and mod the front stop pin hole so the stop pin will line up with it. Thats what i did on my 470 and it hasnt moved.

I’m a machinist, and modified the weaver adapter to fit, and re-blued the cuts with a sharpie, while waiting for the right mount. I haven’t installed the new mount, since it’s shooting so well now I hate to mess with it. I do hope UTG develops a weaver adapter specifically for the rifles with the T06 triggers. But for now, I’m going with the “if it’s not broke, don’t fix it” philosophy. This rifle is a shooter!

Glad you got it all fixed up! I emailed leapers when i first got my 470 and let them know about the longer bases. I think a few others here also did. I figured they would have started putting out a base thats an inch longer by now.

Congratulations on the new gun.

Congrats on the 54. First shot through mine I was like what? What happened? Noise but no recoil. Amazing how much power they have and no felt recoil. They're called "Air King" for a reason!

The 54 is Diana's flagship and the most accurate gun they sell. However, keep in mind the 54 is still a scope eater. You may not feel the recoil but your scope will. So install the best mount $ can buy, and get a good rugged Magnum Springer-rated scope or a high end scope. I have used the BKL 260D7 and Sportmatch (Beeman 50xx) 1-pc mounts on my Magnum Springers for years, and never had a problem.
Good luck with you new 54 and please let us know how it's shooting and how you like the T06 trigger.

My model 54 is a shooter! Awhile back I was shooting it at about 10 yards, and the first shot went about where I expected it to go, and then the 2nd shoot missed the paper altogether, as did the 3rd shot, (I was thinking, it’s eaten its first scope) then with the 4th shoot I noticed just the slightest enlargement of the first hole, and then again with the 5th shot. Subsequent inspection revealed that the first 3 shots had gone into the same hole! The 5 shot group measured about ¼ inch total diameter with a .22 cal rifle! As far as the trigger goes, I wrote up a simple adjustment procedure under the heading of T06 easy adjustment. The trick is understanding just how this trigger works, it’s easy to adjust for a very clean and crisp 2nd stage let off. I love this rifle!

Thats awesome its qorking out nice for you. Great shooting. 1/4 in groups out of a 22 are great.
