Title: First with the 34
Post by: Rickey on November 26, 2011, 11:05:50 AM
Well not bad for the first.  Shot at 3 (1 don't count 75 yrds. out just for fun) 1 hit.  One was to close and didn't compensate.  The other 2 just moved at wrong time.  The 22 does good.  Has lost its diesel bard now just spring noise. Now its just a learning curve.

Great shot and pics.  Sweet looking rifle.  No doubt the first of many future harvests for  you and the rifle.  Enjoy the meal  :)

After 2 Trails and a 34P that was supposed to be new with a 12 land barrel I think this T06  classic is going to work.  The 3-12 BSA is nice too.  Springers are different.

I love the 34s! I don't know why it took me so long to get one (I have a 36 carbine, but it is basically the same gun).  Great shooting! I like the 34s in .177 though as they seem to be perfect at that power level and caliber, but I can see a .22 being a great hunting rifle too.

Very nice shooting Rickey!  Congrats on your 34's 1st kill.
I still have not had an opportunity to shot the T06, but I 've read it's light and crisp (sounds like a potato chip, hehe) - very close to a Marauder trigger.  How does the trigger compare to your 34P's T05?

The 05 has a point where it stops and when you go past that point it fires. The 06 feels a little lighter, the 2nd stage isn't as defined but when you get to it it goes little further and fires.  Yet light enough that in 2nd stage its more like a think than a given pull.  Pull to 2nd stage ahd hold till ready to fire then pop.  The transition from 1 to 2 is a smooth and even.  Not a  crisp stopping point just a slightly heavier pull into 2nd stage.  I like it.  If you hold it at 2nd it won't pull off when you shoot.  Still getting used to it. Not better just different. Rickey

Great shooting Rickey.  You couldn't have hit that squirrel any better than that.  I expect we will see even more of those shots as you get used to that trigger.  The 34 is an awesome gun.

Always like seeing dead nutters. Good job R. Congrats. Before you know it you'll be celebrating your 100th kill with it.
