Had time after church to shoot the beautiful mk2.
Anybody know anything about this pistol ?

The Webley Mark 11 (Target model) was made from 1925-1930. Yours has the checkered walnut grips so was probably imported into the US in the 1920’s by a company named Hoffman. The English version had vulcanite grips. They were distributors of Webley till Stoeger took over in the 1930’s.

Can't add to 45Flint's excellent reply, except to emphasize the Mk II was a target-shooting variant of the original straight-grip Mk I. Quite a rare and desirable collectible.

What I find unique about the pistol is the silver plated finish. The Blue book states a plated finish was offered on the mk2 with pearl grips.
Thanks for your information

Was it plated or was the blue wire brush off? I have never seen a plated one?

Plated, maybe not.

In the UK your Webley would be in serious demand. I have a 60’s Webley premier “E” model and I can’t believe what they go for—particularly across the pond. Boomers apparently grew up with them and as a result are willing to pay real money for them.

That sounds plain wrong to me.
