 I have Bamboo at work, I will se what I can come up with ??? I better consult with Bob on the burst pressure of dry bamboo  ;D

You could glue plugs into the ends of a bamboo section, thread a air port in and slowly pump it up.   I suspect the burst pressure is fairly low.

Decades ago, someone made a bamboo bike frame. I don’t know how well it worked, or if it endured past a few miles.
