Title: Simplicity
Post by: Wildman73 on September 02, 2024, 01:14:45 PM
The question is? Who else makes a simple AG similar in design to the airforce series or the evanix Rex series? I am interested in that particular design. Thank you for your time and any ideas.

Snowpeak airguns (chinese) have similar designed air rifles, but I don't know about their availability:

I don't see any with any design similarities.  Did I miss something?

Listone in Taiwan made AF copycats years ago.

Sorry, I thought the M60B or Max1 could correspond to your criterias. I was mislead, my bad.

I believe they're no longer in business since the Covid. If they still are, they're not very active. I do have two PCPs from them, a rifle and a pistol. I tried to reach them out for a barrel, but they never replied. That's sad, they made very nice airguns.

I am looking for a airgun builder to make a simple design but can't find anyone yet. Any ideas?

RAW are pretty simple platforms. The older Theoben non regged models only had ONE o'ring!

Theoben , That would be too cool!

You can still find pristine used ones for sale or call Martin @ Airguns-USA, he is one of the original Theoben/RAW builders and still might build you one...(931) 638-0241 leave a message with your number if he doesn't pick up, he always calls back. He will build a gun to your specs.

@rinchibi thank you for that.
You're welcome! RAW recently put the Theoben name back on their guns....

Similar in design? Comparable amount of Orings? Closest “I” can think of are my favorite BRKs, Atomics, Concept, Pathfinder and Ranger XRs. Simply solid PCPs, which simply “run and run”….

Thank you for the references, I appreciate all of the input. I really appreciate the airforce concept, and have ideas for an even simpler design on that style drivetrain. Very, Very simple, turn, mill,drill or. I've got to try to draw up a print I guess. On graph paper!! Pretty simple design I'm talking. But Mr. There are so many folks on here much more clever than I could almost or even do it before lunch with a south bend and j head. I wish I could stand beside him and explain.  I wouldn't try ,an amateur machinist at the best is all ill ever be. I have run lathes and screw machines and such, I've hand turned and threaded and fitted and ...45 years ago on 40 plus year and older machines! Wouldn't even  know what to do now.

All of the same AF parts would be used in the same places as well.  Aside from the cocking lever, knob,  rather. I want that on the side, As I want to mimic the  talonp layout. With everything else. Every one I have talked to, l gotta draw something !

You know? You can almost build an airforce tube by hand. A lathe would make it easier and a mill instead of a drill press and files would be the meow!
