Title: U.S.A made UTG scope rings
Post by: Ike the GSD on September 02, 2024, 08:39:43 AM
I ordered a Hawke AirMax 4-12X40 A/O it should be here Wednesday, I was looking at scope rings and found these and they look well made but the single clamping screw concerns me, have any of you guys used these rings and if so how do you like them? I also looked at the Sportsmatch version and they look well made too, but I've read the clamps aren't sharp enough to properly seat into the dovetail of some rifles? I plan on mounting these rings on a Beeman R9.
Thanks guys👍

I own both, although my UTG is the Picatinny model. Their clamp is steel, not aluminum.

I brushed-polished mine and replaced the screws with stainless for contrast.

For airguns, I much prefer Sportsmatch or BKL mounts. Both of them have a very matte finish though, which I don’t like, so I lightly buff them with Autosol for a satin sheen.

I also like replacing every screw with stainless, which I individually deburr and polish  :-*

Sportsmatch rings up close 👍

Dual is medium height, while single is low.
