Some of you may not be aware of this little handy feature of our forum...
You can generate a list of every attachment you've ever posted on the forum.
Fig 1.. Click on profile
Fig 2.. Click show posts
Fig 3.. Click on attachments
The list begins at the most recent attachment so you can go back to highest number page and bring up your very first attachments/pictures and d/l them if you don't have them saved anywhere.
Fond memories. ;)
BTW... You can also look back at any members attachment histories by viewing their profile as well.

Thanks for the info, Bill!

Welcome..
This will not bring up pics that you have embedded within your posts.. it only brings up attachments.
For embedded images you'll have to remember and search for the post containing those imagines.
Google search is one of the best and fastest ways to do that... just include "gateway to airguns" in the search bar.
-
This gives me an idea, I could put a link to the post in the picture description, so one could go to that thread and read more ???
-
Yep, you could also take screenshots or d/l those old images to build a digital scrap book/library.
And with attachments from other member's posts you could build yourself "how to" instructions on guns that you may own or plan to.
The GTA is not just a pretty face, ya know. ;D
It's an incredible source of information if you choose to use it as such. This was and remains the purpose of the forum at it's inception.

Lots of videos and instructions online, such as YouTube, but how often can you actually speak to those folks with specific questions...
You can among our members here.

How about we post that first picture we ever posted to GTA?
Mine was a picture of a S&W 79G my Mom gave me after my Dad passed away. I posted it in February 2017, shortly after I joined. According to my Mom, my Dad was in the process of rebuilding it and I was seeking advice on how to complete what he had started. I am happy to say GTA helped and I still have it and it's still shooting great!

My first was in Nov. 2013. After only 3 months into my airgun experience I posted a pic of my modest collection laid out on the bed in the "Harley Bedroom" in the first house we lived in when we came to lower Alabama from Ohio.
I still have a few of these.
LOL... check out the Harley lamp/telephone. The ringer was a Harley gunning the engine.

July 15,2013, my home made chrony stand with lights.
That's an interesting feature of the forum. Like a walk down memory lane, except some of it I don't even remember. Thanks for pointing it out.

Newcomer here. First attachment from 2020 regarding dragonfly mk1.

I'm sure my first post with a pic was before that. Not sure why some are attachments and some are pics in posts. Maybe if the pic is taken when posting vs already taken makes a difference?

If you use the "insert image" feature to include an image into the body of your reply (post) the search won't find it. It must be an attachment. I rarely ever use the insert image option.
-
You can also click on "topics" and it will bring up all threads you ever started.

Careful how you use that, I used it once to help a member decide on a new gun, I guess they had other ideas ???

I never checked out those features. Thanks for posting the details here.

First photo I posted here in 2017 was a small folding table from Walmart? Haha
Second photo is more interesting. My diy scope cam for my cellphone.
-
I never knew pictures could be attached directly here without an image hosting site, so I technically have no " attachments " to view.
-
This will be my 1st attachment if it works.

Bill, thanks for the info! Definitely helpful... Now I can review all my old gun setups and mediocre targets, Lol. Funny how memory seems to shrink group sizes, make fish bigger & etc. ;D

LOL Zack... you got that right.
Only problem is... now we can all be fact checked. :o :-X

IIR I never posted the 6" 10m groups I got when breaking in springers, but I do still have some of the targets ;) They shrank to dime size or close when I posted ;)

From my 10y indoor attic range. I do miss that place.

Here is the accuracy progression with a .177 Black Ops Sniper, left to right. Right is after around 500 shots, and the barrel has seasoned in with lead.
