Title: RWS 460 Mag
Post by: Dockey 454 on November 24, 2011, 11:09:12 PM
I just joined this sight a few days ago. After looking around some. I noticed not many people shooting the 460. Owned one for about 4 months, and have only put a 150 rounds through it. Other then the weight, Is there problems I'm not aware of yet.

NA! their pretty good guns for the most part, I know people in the past have had some problems with the breech seals and I've heard of one guy who broke 2 cocking arms on one but their good guns for the most part! I've have a few of them in .22cal I really liked them but I just kinda grew out of those guns and my super magnum lust! :P

The reason for the 460, is I'm overrun with godzilla sized groundhogs tearing up my property.

I think my gun needs a lot more rounds through it before it starts shooting like that.

it takes about 1000 to 1500 rands before they start to calm down and start to shoot really good unless you do a tune of some kinda, I did a deburr and lube on mine and it took about 1200 shots to start shootin like that. :P

I need to keep reading till I learn to do all of this stuff. Even though I have 4 acres, the neighbors are going to get upset if I go blasting away with my .308.

I have the 177 cal 470 th, same power plant diff stock, and love it! I have taken it out to 124 yds on 12 oz soda cans and have a video of a 115 yd kill of a soda can on here amd youtube. They are great guns once you break them in and master them.

The 460 is the one Diana gun I never bought,(But wish I had).Seems some just doesn't have anything good to say about the Diana's,but they're just a Good as any in it's price class.I have the 350 8 groove with the Vortek kit and I'd shoot against any HW,(Which I also owned and Sold) anytime, and have,so shoot that 460 and Enjoy it.They are an Accurate powerhouse.

JMHO, Thanks
