Hi,
I've been silent on this great forum for about half a year, because I was writing a book about my favourite airgun brand, Sharp.
Having a fulltime job as a veterinarian, I decided to write in the early mornings, when my ladyfriend was still asleep.
It was a fun project, and I received info from many people all over the world.
In April, I went to Japan to visit the old Sharp factories, and to meet a former Sharp employee, Mr. Ebisawa.
He was Sharp's barrel maker for 3 decades, from the early seventies.
Although Sharp is no more, their airguns are still valued by many shooters and collectors, and I thought it was time to give the brand some serious attention.
I had 80 books printed, all numbered and signed. The book launch was at Kempton Classic & Vintage Arms Fair in the UK, on 7 July.
Over 50 books are sold, but the rest is now available through Protek Supplies in the UK.
Kind regards,
Louis

Very great Louis!

Pretty awesome, but Sharps are a bear to get in the US.

Maybe share some pics of the Sharps you might have? We like pics. ;D

Thanks gents.
There are lots of photos in the book ;)

Yes, lots of great photos and extensive research. And well written! A must have for the Sharps collector or enthusiast. ;)

Nice job man. Will have to get a copy.

Thank you gents.
The book is almost sold out; sales via Protek went much faster than expected.
I believe there were about 4 left on Friday. Then the 80 books are all gone.
If you can't get a copy, don't hesitate to contact me, preferrably via sharpairguns@gmail.com; I might do a second print.
@20cal, your great book about Sheridan was an important inspiration for me. Thank you also for your feedback, during the writing process.
Cheers, Louis
