I had a big fight with family I was renting from, lost basically all my airguns over insane paranoia and other factors. In any case I just got a letter from the Sherrif's office in the county I lived when this happened and apparently, the airguns that they seized are still in evidence and I can retrieve them within 60 days (or they sell them I guess). Needless to say I don't want to lose them, probably about $250 worth (when new), just a 1077, and a long barrel 1022, with stock that I built, a scope, and some pistol (I think a Vigilante, but can't recall for sure).
Anyway I'm just excited to be able to pick back up the hobby. I got pretty dead on accurate in a short time and it's fun. I only target shoot, but small game hunting is a possible interest. Mostly just popping cans and targets again is going to be a huge joy!
Anyway, just excited, wanted to check out the forum again after a long absence.

I just went and got them yesterday. Kinda a pain, cuz I had to ride the bus an hour and a half each way. Had to bring a big rolling suitcase to hide what I was carrying, and even so the barrels of the 1077 and Daisy 880 stuck out a few inches. The lady at the Sherriff's office gave me a bag to put over the barrels though and I had no issues. Even had time to stop and buy $25 worth of CO2 at Big5 for just 25 13 gram cartridges! I feel I got ripped off, but it was just easier to stop there than try and drag all my junk through Walmart. Next time I will just order them delivered.
Was surprised to see the Daisy 880, thought it would be a Crosman Vigilante, but I guess my memory fails. Definitely a gun I do plan to buy again though, the Vigilante is a very nice pistol for the price...
(Bummer, just checked and I could have got 40 for just over $20 at Walmart as opposed to $25 for 25!!! I got robbed!)
I didn't even have the energy to go shoot afterwards, as I basically spent most of the day riding and waiting for busses through two counties and dragging airguns in a suitcase, and never had time to stop too eat even, or I'd have not gotten robbed on the CO2 cuz I wouldn't have had time to get the bus I wanted.
I got to say though I am overjoyed to have my humble little remnant of my original collection back. I did sell my Hatsan AT44, as I just had no where to keep it safe, nor the time or ability to do anything with it, so probably out of the PCP game for the foreseeable future, but that's OK. Looks like the Crosman 3622 kit would be an affordable starting point, if I do, and I like the idea of it's simplicity.
Anyway these are my toys, and I plan to take the time to go down to the woods and shoot some. It had been so long since I looked at pellets, that I saw a tin on 14.3 grain wadcutters, and mistook them for .177, lol! I basically have a bunch of both .177 and .22 all in wadcutter, with a few domes mixed in. I lost one clip for the 1077 but the other two were in the tin with the .22 pellets strangely. Anyway will be interesting to see what kind of groups I can get after so long not shooting at all. I was pretty "dang" good with all of these guns before I stopped, so I will post some results tomorrow, so excited!
Gonna be weird though cuz now I have no car, only a bicycle with a 66cc two stroke motor mounted on it for transpo, so I am gonna have to sling guns sticking out of my backpack to the nearby woods to shoot. I used to live in the country where I could just step out of my door and shoot, but now I have an apartment in a small rural surrounded city, so I'd have to shoot indoors or go about a mile away. I doubt anyone will trouble me though.

Hmmm, don’t be too sure about not being troubled in that town. Everything there is “complaint based”, so it just depends on who’s around. Someone might commit a bona fide crime right smack among a densely populated area and nobody dares call cops. OR someone might sic the police on someone for a minor thing because they have an ax to grind against that person. Watch your back there. Plenty of whackos live there and control what happens because nobody nipped them in the bud decades ago.
Seriously, it is a really bizarre population, and I’m not talking about harmless eccentricity such as the Victorian couple.
They do have—or used to have—a public PB range, though. I remember hearing of squawks about shutting it down due to noise complaints. It is near a bus line.

Hmmmmm just makes me thankful for the rural village lifestyle of Manakau . Our corner and most of the rest is full of intelligent easy going people. We know and trust ourselves Anyway good luck getting back to shooting. I hope it goes well for you.

Oh man, this is embarrassing! The 1322 sights are unusable! I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn! I think it's just sights, hope it's not the barrel!
The 1077 did a lot better. It was out 20 yards, and a bad crosswind. I count 22 of 36 hit at least...

You KNOW how addictive the hobby is, when you go from no guns (2 months ago) to a small collection, to more than doubling said collection in less than 2 months time. Geez!
It's a humble collection, but they're mine and I like them!

Nice. Have fun! :D

Yep, they are like a potato chip, you just can't have one.

Interesting story where you live. Even though I used to live in the "Peoples Republic of New Jersey" a couple decades ago I never had any issue with the neighbors around my little <1/2 acre lot. I simply took care to construct a suitable backstop for my .177 cal airguns. I also explained to the adjacent property owners that if they see me shooting a gun on my property the gan was only a "bb gun" and I had a back stop so the projectiles never left my property. Initially I used a pneumatic "pump up gun" but I really didn't like the "crack" sound of the pneumatic so I used a break barrel springer instead. It was more powerful (had a flatter trajectory) while being quieter.
You mentioned poor accuracy with some of your guns, perhaps you need to clean the bore and a change pellet brand may help. Here are a couple pics showing accuracy improvement after a bore clean and comparing the grouping of different pellets fron the same springer................
