Title: New TX200 Cocking Arm Is Difficult To Disengage From The Latch

I have to pull so hard on the handle to disengage from the latch, that I am afraid if the handle slips out of my hand, the barrel will whip back into my head/face.

A fix?

The end of the cocking arm that engages the steel ball is threaded onto the arm.
It will loosen if you do not put some Loc-Tite on it.
This happened to me with my 2nd (I have three) TX200.
You can see in the photo where the one on my rifle had backed so far it would not go back into battery.
So, remove the knob (see photo) and put a single drop of blue Loc-Tite on the threads and then re-apply the knob to the cocking arm.
Tighten it all the way then back it out to the point where the arm will stay in battery when shooting.
VOILA!!

Put a bit of lube on the detent ball - see if that helps.  The ball is spring loaded.

If it is already flush and the lube doesn’t do it you can always remove it and flat file the arm a bit. Go slow and keep checking.
