A little Crosman 357 break barrel pistol trivia. The old 357 with brown grips and the exposed piercing knob has three barrel lengths. 4 inch, 6 inch and 8 inch. The 4 inch has 2 slot between the barrel and the ribbed piece, the 6 inch 3 and the 8 inch 4. The 357 they made between the old 357 and the Vigilante with the large grips like the Vigilante only came with six inch 357 barrel. It has 4 slots unlike the old 357 six inch barrel with 3. In picture it's easy to confuse it with the 8 inch barrel.

Look at the length of each barrel rib support and not the number of them, if I'm not mistaken they changed.

Right, the old 357 with the exposed piercing knob, the six inch barrel has three slots. The newer 357 with the same large grips like the Vigilante, it's six inch 357 barrel has four slots.
