Look forward to learning the date of manufacture of a model 312 I inherited. Some of the air rifles attributes can be visually verified, along with the old box, but I never received the paperwork. I do recall seeing a green document with a Minuteman on it while my father in law was perusing through some other documents. looking in the deceased relatives archives. The search continues.

Nice 1960's 312 you've got there.
I quite like mine.

Just getting back to this post, sorry it took so long. I did some research here and at AVA and I made some progress. I am fairly (90%) sure that I have an early 40's 312 based upon individual characteristics, factory box, pellets (tin) and its history. Yng@hrt's (Marty's) post from 2018 regarding his acquisitions was very informative and helped me immensely. I found some similarities between his rifle(s) and mine. These early rifles were introduced at a time of great changes, with the world in flux and turmoil and were not documented well. (I wonder what happened to Benjamins archives when they were sold/acquired) Any idea what Benjamin did for the war effort? I also enjoyed the jocularity and good fellowship by all the contributors that took the time to help him (and me ultimately) and would like to thank them for investing their time in helping others despite it being a hobby/preoccupation for them.
