Title: Red dot on a springer
Post by: plumberroy on May 26, 2024, 11:28:58 PM
I searched and found a little bit , but nothing solid. I was bored today so I thought I'd try something. I have a Benjamin trail NP2 in 22 the original scope wonders a bit not bad but enough to need adjusted once or twice a year. I had an inexpensive crossbow that I have not shot in years. That came with a red dot. So I put it on the Benjamin.  I sighted it at 15 yards for now. I'm in a walking boot from foot surgery and I didn't want to get the boot wet and that was the edge of the black top.  It's been raining on and off all day .It seems to sight in good. I was hitting the small disc on my beat up old game reset target

 Will it hold up?

The sight has 3 dots, I used the top one

Being a Crossbow dot it should hold up well.  I have used these on magnum break barrels, and they still work years later.

Who cares if it holds up??  As you mentioned, it is off a cheap crossbow.

Just an update. I had to crank the mounting screws down the after I mounted it. Then I have been shooting it most days since the first post and it seems to be holding zero
