Hi all. As in the title I have a gen 1 stormrider that will not fire. It has a full air charge and I can see the sear moving as it should but it will not fire. I don't know if there is a problem with the hammer or what. The issue I have too is that my knowledge of air rifles in general is pretty low so I'm not sure how far I can tear this down to see what's going on while it has a full charge and naturally Diana did not include a degasser for it so I can't de-gas it. Looking for the best way to proceed. I'd hate to chuck it although the desire to do so is there.
Any and all help appreciated.

It sounds like possibly the trigger adjustment screw that meets up with the sear has worked its way loose, or possibly fallen out. It is a small Allan set screw right behind the trigger blade. No degassing needed to check and fix.
A bit more though I remember hearing of a recall on the gen 1 due to trigger issues ???

Will look at that tonight although I *think* I verified all the screws are there. I need to pull the barrel and remove the pellet as well. Thanks.

Link to the recall.

To degas, you can remove the end cap or the pressure gauge.
CAUTION! Whichever method you use, go very VERY slow. Loosen until you hear air escaping and walk away. Let it bleed down while you eat lunch, or watch TV, or take a shower. Get the idea? VERY slow! The third method is to cock and shoot until it is empty. Obviously, that alternative is not available to you.
I hope the fix is simple. Good luck.
