Hi guys, I am new to the forum, and to this world of AirGun in general. I recently got my hands on an old Hatsan Mod. 100, used a lot and with old and now not too performing parts. I was intending to make a few improvements, starting with a new spring, I had my eye on the HATSAN HI POWER 55 100 available in two versions, on the shopkeeper's site the MOD 100 is not specifically listed but a variety of other models such as the 100x and others that should have similar characteristics. From what little I have been able to find on my model since it seems really poorly reviewed and hard to find, the current spring should have these characteristics:
No. of total coils: 38
Outer diameter of the spring: mm 19.5
Wire diameter: mm 3
So the HATSAN HI POWER 55 100 should be compatible although I am undecided about the length. I hope you have some useful advice or better alternatives since as I said I am new.
Another question, besides the spring, do you suggest changing anything else?
Also I have not been able to find the exploded view of my model yet for easier and more accurate disassembly, do you know where to get it by any chance?
Thank you for any answers

Is this your model?

If yes the closest diagram to it may be ...

edit: If this is your model or very close to it I highly recommend using only FACTORY seals and FACTORY spring. A longer and SNUG fitting spring guide will make the rifle shoot the best it can.

Hi Mikeyb, no, that is the 100x I mentioned above, it should be the new model with SAS Shock Absorber System and Quattro Trigger, my model is the MOD. 100 and being older it doesn't have those features, the spring anyway should be compatible but I wanted to make sure, searching around I saw some but as a novice I think it's not possible to post links here, I tried with the manual of my model but it didn't authorize me.
As for the parts I also find it hard to find the factory ones, I haven't seen them anywhere, that's why I was asking for information and maybe if they could be replaced by even better parts, it doesn't matter so much the price

I had a .177 100X then bought a .22 155 Torpedo. Same gun but the 155 is bigger. That gun reminded me I prefer .177. Sold it to a bud and bought a .177 155. Seemed redundant to have a 100x and a 155 so I sold the 100. Also have a 135, Webley Tommy and a Dominator 200 Carbine, the best shooting of all my Hatsans. All of them springer. I'd love to get a Dominator carbine with the wood stock or at least a wood stock for my plastic stocked one. Kral said they could order me the stock for $275. Also have a Proxima. That's a different but pleasant experience.
But now I'm into rebuilding old Crosman break barrels and my Walther LG53, LG 55 with Tyrolean stock and my 55 with double set triggers. My other guns kind of took a back seat last year or so.
Keep us posted on your progress with the 100X.

lefteyeshot as I said above I don't have the 100x but the MOD. 100 which is another carbine, very similar but different, of the 100x I find a lot of material online but of the MOD 100 absolutely not, that's why I wanted some advice on what to change, what spring and other parts to take to bring it at least to default and like new or if possible even better. The parts should be the same as the 100x but I would like to be sure. For example I found a spring that from the description they say is suitable for the models: 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85 (sniper), 87QE, 88, 90, 95, 99, 100X, 105X and Dominator 200 in cal. 4.5mm, I find it in two variants short version length: 320mm and long version length: 380mm, I wonder if both can e be inserted on mine or maybe they are too long?

I finally found the diagram of my hatsan, I attach it here. I disassembled mine, the piston seal is completely destroyed due to long time unused, also in this diagram there is a part named “Hammer” number 40 to be exact, but I did not find it inside my carbine, how come? Also it turns out very difficult to find spare parts, as for the spring I got the one from the 100x Torpedo which should be the same, but otherwise I still have doubts.
Could someone clarify this for me? :).
