This is a cautionary tale of don't do business with someone who only has 1 post and registered less than a month.
It's real easy for an armchair quarterback to make the call after the play has been run though.
It's a shame you can't trust people now days.

This is a cautionary tale of don't do business with someone who only has 1 post and registered less than a month.

But this guy has Ghosted me for 3 days, and that is 2 days after he said I would get a tracking # by Saturday, I can post the Emails.

I don't think it's that nobody wants to see them. It's not what we want to share in the open forum. Anyone that wants to see them is welcome to PM you and ask that you forward the emails to them.
We do appreciate you posting the warning. That's part of our members looking out for each other. But I think the warnings are enough without getting into the down and dirty.
If this guy is a registered member he certainly has the opportunity to bring his side of the story.

I'm sorry you are having a bad transaction Jay. I've had one sale go bad as well. I tend to stick to dealing with active and reputable members. That has helped me to avoid getting this type of stuff. I hope the guy has a change of heart and makes it right.

+1. Since they are a brand new member, I would absolutely insist on receiving item first before payment goes out. Take it or leave it.
With that being said, OP stated it's only been 3 days of no communication before he started this thread. Personally, I don't feel that's a very long time. I would, begrudgingly, give it a week before I lose it and start crying foul.
Perhaps something catastrophic happened with/to the seller. Wouldn't be the first time here, something detrimental happened to a member and we don't find out for awhile.
I hope things work out for you, Jay, and that this isn't a case of being ripped off.

How many guys can get scammed in a week, It is a warning , Take it as such and no more.
He will get an apology if it works out to my advantage. But I won't hold my breath.

Once again... thank you for the warning and sharing your experience. I hope that somehow this gets resolved for you.
But I think this thread has a more important lesson for our members.
There is a reason that the GTA restricts the use of our Classified Gate to members with 20+ posts and 30+ days is to protect our members from situations just like this.
Hopefully others will take this lesson and avoid this outcome. Those rules will not guarantee that all transactions will be smooth, that's where research on the part of both parties needs to be done.
I know the OP knows where he went wrong and opened the door to be taken advantage of and that's exactly what happened.
Do the leg work and protect yourselves.
I promise you that I, the other mods nor the admins of this forum are not going to let this thread turn into a mud slinging match.
The point of the thread has been made.

As was said, the point has been made. We have a person who takes advantage of a Poor old guy on a fixed income who is not wise to the ways of the world.
