Title: Kral service
Post by: slomojo on April 10, 2024, 07:26:02 PM
Looking for service to be done on a Kral Puncher Breaker.
Gun will not hold pressure above 1000 psi
Even after installing an inlet valve service pack from Bagnall.
Fill adapter o-rings continue to get damaged even after slight sanding of the port.
I may try replacing the whole inlet assembly before deferring to service.
Glad I have other guns around that actually function well.
May end up selling this one. Not sure at this point.

When you say fill adapter o-rings are you talking about the fill probe?
If you're still using the factory probe, they're horrible, best thing is to ditch that probe and grab one of the these, day and night.

If it will hold 1K psi have you checked to see if the burst disc is leaking and just tighten it up?

Thanks, yes the fill probe. I’ll order the huma air probe.
I have not checked the burst disc, but I have a new one I can put in.
Appreciate the input.

I too have several Kral air rifles.  It's sad that we got the rug pulled out from under us.  Fortunately, I can do my own work on these rifles.  Maybe Air Venturi or Troy Hammer can help you out.

More often then not you can get away with just tightening it

I've always sourced parts from here and not AV anyway, so just because AV moved on in a different direction, no worries about parts.

After watching Troy’s video I disassembled enough to get to the burst disc retainer.
Upon inspection the burst disc looked undamaged, the retainer screw was needing just about maybe a 1/8 turn to seat better. Lubed all the o-rings, filled with new probe from Huma-Air and we’re back to normal.
