Title: Very Pleased with my G1 Refurb!
Post by: xXcrosmanhunterXx on November 20, 2011, 08:32:22 PM
As you guys might know, I have a Crosman G1 Extreme. I got it new from Dick's. I had the gun for about 10-11 months, and I shot it about everyday over the summer! There had to be at least 2,000 rounds through the barrel. Well after all that shooting the spring had finally broke around September or October. I had sent it in and with Crosman's great customer service, I had a refurbished G1 Extreme at my doorstep within 2 weeks. By this time I ordered a Leapers Accushot 4-16x56 scope for it. I went to the local hunting store and they set me up with some nice BKL mounts. I went back to my grandparents and had sighted the gun in. I was shooting cans at around 40 yards with 2 mil dots of hold over. I wasn't really sure exactly where the zero was at this point. I decided to see just how far I could take this gun out to, so I set a soda can out about 10 yards from the edge of my grandparents property. I put the cross hairs right on the can to see how much hold over I'd need. I squeezed the trigger and let a CPHP fly. I saw some leaves fly up right around the lower part of the scope, 5-6 mil dots low. I loaded up another pellet, checked my range on the AO, it measured about 100-115 yards (range estimation wheel doesnt have increments between 100-200 yards) and put the can in between the 5th and 6th mil dot, let another CPHP fly and thwak! Can down! I about $^&* my pants when I actually hit the can! I loaded up another one, 2 for 2! I hit the can another 5 or 6 times, but now the sun was starting to go down. I was really pleased with the gun and scope combo, and I recommend it to anyone else that's looking for a budget springer! Also, the gun must not be very hold sensitive, I had the forearm of the stock resting on a sandbag, and I basically had a firm grip on the pistol grip of the gun. Hope to take out a few squirrels with this gun in the near future. ;)

Great shooting. The G1 is a great gun.
